Reflection 1

Salam,

Frankly speaking, I thought we would not have to learn anything related to technology anymore. But clearly my thought was wrong.  So, for this new semester, one of the subjects that we have to take is ‘Teknologi Pendidikan’. This particular subject will be taught by Mr Sarihan.

During our previous short semester, we have been exposed to a lot of new things in the Computer in Education subject. Honestly, I was really amazed that I could survive for that particular subject since anything that has got to do with technology is seriously not my cup of tea at all! Therefore, I am definitely hoping that I could improve my skills related to technology and gain as much new knowledge as possible throughout the learning period. The reason why I am hoping so is that because I believe, living in this ICT era requires one to possess at least the basic knowledge about technology in order to keep him to be on par with the other counterparts.

So, for the first week, there are few things that need to be done. First and foremost, our course lecturer has given us a very brief explanation of what should we be expecting for this course. As usual, he then explained to us clearly regarding to our course works. I shall say that they are going to be real tough for me as there are few things that I personally am not very familiar with. In addition to that, we were then told to create a blog from the blogspot account (not again) and a ‘Wikispaces’ account which I first time heard of.

Later, in the blog, we have to make it as interesting as possible by decorating it and added in few gadgets and of course write a weekly reflection about what we have learned each week. Having told to create a lot of new Web 2.0 accounts such as Yahoo Group!, Facebook and Blog last semester was definitely a handful for me.  And to add in another blog and the latest new Wikispaces account would definitely make it more handfuls for me to take care of.

My last words before I pen off, I am looking forward to learning a lot of other new things despite the fact that I hate to learn about technology. Hopefully, as time passes by I manage to inculcate my interest in learning about technology and thus able to incorporate those knowledge in order to prepare me of becoming a tech-savvy teacher in the future.
